Advised Giesecke+Devrient on the international reorganisation of the Mobile Security division into two independent business units – e-Payments and Mobile Security – by carving out the business with so-called Trusted Connected Devices (eg, SIM cards, eSIM, iSIM) and on the corporate structuring and implementation. The deal included reorganisation and corporate law measures in 16 jurisdictions on six continents. Managing this complex cross-border deal required a large team of several hundred participants from the legal, tax, finance, operations, IT, sales and other executive departments of G+D.
